Free for your first 12 months
Every organization runs ShakaFlow free for its first 12 months, on our hosted service or on its own infrastructure. No card, no seat count.
After the first year
- Small organizations stay free: fewer than 10 people, under $1M revenue in the last 12 months and under $1M raised, counted across the whole company.
- Charities, schools and hospitals stay free at any size.
- Everyone else pays one flat price per organization, for every team, manager and developer. Never per seat, never per usage.
- We publish that price on this page at least 90 days before your free year ends. If we don't, your free year keeps running.

Reading the code, installing it, trying it on test workspaces, changing it, and running it for a public open-source project.
Your AI key, your bill
ShakaFlow runs on your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, so model costs go to your provider account at its own rates, and your prompts stay with you.
The license
Self-hosted ShakaFlow 1.0 ships under The ShakaFlow License 1.0, the trust-based model of React on Rails Pro and ShakaPerf: no license key, nothing phones home. Every release includes the application's source code, without the test suite, and you can change it for your own use. The hosted service runs under our Terms of Service.
